**Quick answer — What is the PontProxy Acceptable Use Policy?**

PontProxy, a no-KYC UK & Europe residential and 4G/5G proxy provider, allows legitimate uses only. These include public-data scraping, SERP tracking, price and ad verification, brand protection, market research, geo-testing and privacy. Fraud, account takeover, spam and DDoS are prohibited. We block online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587). Abuse reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You pay in crypto with no KYC, and abuse means termination without refund.

## Who does this policy apply to?

This policy applies to everyone who uses PontProxy: account holders, their sub-users, and any software that connects through our gateway. You accept it when you buy or use the service.

You are responsible for all traffic sent with your credentials. Keep them private. Remove sub-users and rotate passwords when someone should no longer have access.

## What can I use PontProxy proxies for?

You can use PontProxy for legitimate business and personal work that respects the law and the rights of others. The uses below are welcome:

- **Public-data web scraping**: collecting publicly available pages, such as product listings, prices, job ads or public reviews. Keep request rates reasonable for each site.
- **SEO and SERP tracking**: checking search rankings as users in UK and European locations see them. See [SERP tracking](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/serp-tracking/).
- **Price monitoring**: tracking retail and travel prices by country. See [price monitoring](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/price-monitoring/).
- **Ad verification**: checking that ads appear correctly, in the right place and in the right country. See [ad verification](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/ad-verification/).
- **Brand protection**: finding counterfeit listings, trademark misuse and unauthorised resellers.
- **Market research**: comparing offers, stock and content across countries.
- **Social media management**: agencies and brands managing accounts they own or are authorised to manage, within each platform's rules. See [social media management](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/social-media-management/).
- **App and website geo-testing**: checking localisation, geo-restrictions, prices and consent banners by country. See [geo-testing](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/geo-testing/).
- **Personal privacy**: keeping your own IP address private from the websites you visit.

If you collect personal data while scraping, data protection law applies to you. In the EU this is the GDPR; in the UK it is the UK GDPR. If your use is not on this list, ask us first at support@pontproxy.com. Plans for all of these uses are on our [pricing page](https://pontproxy.com/pricing/).

## What is prohibited on PontProxy?

You may not use PontProxy for any illegal activity, or for any activity listed below. These rules apply even if a law where you live would allow the activity.

### Fraud and financial crime

- **Fraud and scams**, including phishing, impersonation and fake shops.
- **Carding**: testing, buying, selling or using stolen payment card data.
- **Account takeover**: logging in to accounts that you do not own and are not authorised to use.
- **Credential stuffing**: testing leaked usernames and passwords against any login form.
- **Evading bank or payment fraud checks**, for example making a payment look as if it comes from the cardholder's location.
- **Bonus or promo abuse**: opening many accounts to claim sign-up bonuses, free trials, referral rewards or betting offers more than once.
- **Sanctions evasion**: helping a person, company or country avoid sanctions set by the UK, the EU or the United Nations.

### Attacks on systems and networks

- **DDoS and flooding**: denial-of-service attacks, and load or stress tests against systems you do not own.
- **Unauthorised access**: entering any system, or scanning or testing it for weaknesses, without the owner's written permission.
- **Malware and C2**: spreading malware, running command-and-control (C2) servers, or operating botnets.
- **Attack tooling**: routing intrusion tools, exploit kits or phishing kits through our network.

### Spam, fake engagement and automated buying

- **Spam and bulk email**: unsolicited email, messages or comments sent in bulk. Outgoing email (SMTP) is blocked on our network.
- **Fake engagement**: fake reviews, followers, likes, views, votes or ad clicks.
- **SMS-verification farming**: creating phone-verified accounts in bulk, or reselling verification codes.
- **Ban evasion**: using many accounts to get around a ban or a limit that a platform has placed on you.
- **Ticket and sneaker bots**: automated buying of tickets or limited-stock products, including to beat purchase limits.

### Harm to people

- **Harassment**: threats, stalking, doxxing, or targeted abuse of any person.
- **Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)**: accessing, storing or sharing it in any form. We terminate the account at once and refer the case to the competent authorities.
- **Unlawful collection of personal data**: gathering data about people without a lawful basis.

### Copyright and law enforcement

- **Copyright infringement at scale**: mass downloading, copying or redistributing protected content without the right-holder's permission.
- **Evading law enforcement**: using the service to hide a crime, or to avoid a lawful investigation.
- **Any other illegal activity** under the law that applies to you or to the target.

## Which targets are blocked on the PontProxy network?

We block online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587) for every account. These targets carry a high risk of fraud and spam, so we close them at the network level, not only in this policy.

A request to a blocked target fails. This is not a fault in your proxy, and it is not a reason for a refund. We may add targets to the list at any time when we see abuse against them. Trying to reach a blocked target by another route breaks this policy.

## Why does a no-KYC proxy provider have an Acceptable Use Policy?

Because no KYC removes the paperwork, not the rules. We do not collect identity documents, but every customer must follow this policy.

We follow the GDPR principle of data minimisation. Article 5(1)(c) says personal data must be "adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary". A proxy does not need your passport to work, so we do not ask for it. The UK GDPR contains the same principle.

Instead of identity checks, we control abuse in three ways:

1. **The network** blocks the targets that abusers want most, including outgoing email.
2. **This policy** sets clear rules that every customer accepts before using the service.
3. **The abuse desk** acts on reports, and termination for abuse comes without a refund.

This is how we can offer **No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents. Pay in crypto.** and still run a service that website owners and networks can trust. Read more about [no-KYC proxies](https://pontproxy.com/no-kyc-proxies/).

## What happens if you break this policy?

We warn, suspend or terminate the account, in proportion to the problem. There are three possible steps:

1. **Warning.** For a first, minor issue that looks accidental, such as an excessive request rate against one website. We send the warning to your email address if you added one.
2. **Suspension.** We pause the account, a sub-user or a port while we investigate.
3. **Termination without refund.** For clear abuse, repeated breaches, or any activity in the fraud, attack or harm categories above. Remaining traffic and rental time are forfeited. See our [Refund Policy](https://pontproxy.com/refunds/).

Serious abuse can lead straight to termination, without a warning. A terminated customer may not open a new account.

## Do you cooperate with law enforcement?

Yes. We answer valid legal orders that bind us under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. We check each order before we act on it. Authorities should follow the process on our [contact page](https://pontproxy.com/contact/).

We can only hand over the data we hold: account number, order history, payment records and per-day traffic totals; connection metadata (timestamp, target domain, bytes) kept 7 days for abuse handling, then deleted. Our [Privacy Policy](https://pontproxy.com/privacy/) explains this data in full. When a valid legal order requires it, we preserve the data we still hold for that account until the case is closed. We do not collect identity documents, so we have none to hand over.

## How do I report abuse coming from a PontProxy IP address?

Email abuse@pontproxy.com. We review every report within 24 hours. Please include:

- the IP address, and the port if you know it, that reached your system;
- the exact date and time of each event, with the time zone (UTC is best);
- the target: domain, URL, or IP address and port on your side;
- what happened, for example login attempts, scraping volume, spam or attack traffic;
- evidence, such as log lines, request headers, or full email headers;
- how we can reach you if we need more detail.

Residential and mobile IP addresses are shared and change often. Exact timestamps let us match a report to one account. Please report quickly, because we keep connection metadata only for a short time (see the data list above). We reply once we have reviewed the report.

## Which laws apply to proxy use in the UK and the EU?

The same laws apply to what you do with or without a proxy. Three texts cover most of the abuse in this policy:

- **Computer Misuse Act 1990 (UK).** Section 1 makes unauthorised access to computer material an offence. Section 3 covers unauthorised acts that impair a computer, such as denial-of-service attacks. Section 3A covers making, supplying or obtaining tools for these offences.
- **Fraud Act 2006 (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).** Section 2 covers fraud by false representation, such as phishing. Sections 6 and 7 cover possessing, making or supplying articles for use in fraud. Scotland treats fraud as a common-law offence.
- **Directive 2013/40/EU on attacks against information systems (EU).** It requires EU member states to make illegal access, system interference, data interference and interception criminal offences. Denmark is not bound by it.
