## What should a support request include?

A complete first message lets us answer without a round of questions. Please include:

- your **account number** — this is how we find your account. Never send your password, your API key or a proxy URL that contains your password;
- the product: residential, rotating 4G/5G or a dedicated 4G/5G port, and the order ID if you have it;
- the gateway and port you use, for example `gw.pontproxy.com` on port 7777 (HTTP) or 7778 (SOCKS5);
- the targeting you set: country, city, ISP or carrier, and your session settings;
- the exact error message or HTTP status code, for example 407 (proxy authentication required);
- the time of the problem with its time zone, for example 14:05 UTC;
- the output of any test command, with the password replaced by `***`.

The [quickstart guide](https://pontproxy.com/guides/quickstart/) shows the correct connection format.

## How do I report abuse from a PontProxy IP address?

Email [abuse@pontproxy.com](mailto:abuse@pontproxy.com). We act on abuse reports within 24 hours. Please include:

- the **target** — the domain, URL or IP address that received the traffic;
- **timestamps with time zone** — start and end, ideally in UTC. Residential and mobile IP addresses are shared over time, so the exact time matters;
- the **source IP address** and port that appear in your logs;
- what happened — for example login attempts, spam, scanning or excessive request rates;
- **evidence** — log lines, request headers or screenshots;
- how we can reach you for follow-up.

We use the IP address, time and target to find the traffic in our records. We then check it against our [Acceptable Use Policy](https://pontproxy.com/acceptable-use/), and we block the target or suspend the account where needed. Some targets are already blocked for every customer: online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587).

Connection metadata is deleted after a short period, as our [privacy policy](https://pontproxy.com/privacy/) explains. Please report quickly. We do not share customer data with people who report abuse.

## How should law enforcement request data?

Send the request to [abuse@pontproxy.com](mailto:abuse@pontproxy.com) from an official address of your authority. State the legal basis, and give the IP address, the exact time with time zone and the target.

We answer valid legal orders that bind us under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. We can only provide the limited data we keep, listed in our [privacy policy](https://pontproxy.com/privacy/). Our retention statement is: account number, order history, payment records and per-day traffic totals; connection metadata (timestamp, target domain, bytes) kept 7 days for abuse handling, then deleted. An email address is held only if the customer added one. We hold no name, ID document, postal address, phone number or card details for any customer, so we cannot provide them.

## Does PontProxy have a Telegram or social-media account?

No. The only official channels of PontProxy are the two email addresses on this page: [support@pontproxy.com](mailto:support@pontproxy.com) and [abuse@pontproxy.com](mailto:abuse@pontproxy.com). We have no phone line, and no Telegram or social-media accounts yet.

If someone contacts you on another channel and claims to be PontProxy, it is not us. Never send a payment, an account number or a password to such an account. If we open a new channel, we will list it on this page and in the [changelog](https://pontproxy.com/changelog/).

## Frequently asked questions

### How quickly does PontProxy answer support emails?

Our standard is email replies within 12 hours, 7 days a week. Abuse reports sent to abuse@pontproxy.com follow a separate target: we act on them within 24 hours. A complete first message helps us answer faster. Include your account number, the product, the gateway and port, the exact error and the time with its time zone.

### Do I need to give my name or an ID document to get support?

No. We find your account by its account number, so we never ask for your name, an ID document or a selfie. This matches how you bought the service: no KYC, crypto only. Never send your password or API key in an email; our team does not need them to investigate a problem.

### Can I contact support if I did not save an email address on my account?

Yes. Write from any email address and include your account number. We reply to the address you wrote from. Saving an email on the account stays optional (account-number login — email optional). Keep your account number safe, because it is the key to your account and your traffic balance.

### Will you tell the person who reports abuse who the customer is?

No. We do not share customer data with people who report abuse. We investigate the report ourselves. Where the Acceptable Use Policy requires it, we block the target or suspend the account. We can confirm to the reporter that action was taken. We disclose data only to answer a valid legal order that binds us.

### Someone on Telegram says they work for PontProxy. Is that real?

No. PontProxy has no Telegram or social-media accounts yet. The only official channels are support@pontproxy.com and abuse@pontproxy.com. Do not send payments, account numbers or passwords to anyone who contacts you elsewhere. Please forward the details to abuse@pontproxy.com so we can look into it.

### Will PontProxy ever ask for my account number?

We never ask for your account number by email or chat. Your account number is your login, so keep it private. If a message claims to be from PontProxy and asks for it, do not answer and forward it to abuse@pontproxy.com. Our only official channels are support@pontproxy.com and abuse@pontproxy.com.
