**Quick answer — Where do PontProxy's proxy IPs come from?**

PontProxy's UK and European residential and 4G/5G mobile IPs come from established partner networks, which we do not name. Before we resell a network, it must meet our five-point sourcing standard, including documented end-user consent with opt-out and permission to resell. We block online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587). No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents. Pay in crypto.

## What kinds of IP addresses does PontProxy resell?

PontProxy resells two kinds of UK and European IP addresses, both from established partner networks.

- **Residential IPs** are addresses that consumer ISPs assign to home broadband connections. A residential proxy routes your request through such a connection.
- **Mobile IPs** are addresses that 4G/5G carriers assign to SIM connections. A dedicated port is a 4G/5G modem with a carrier SIM, on EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three in the UK.

We do not operate these networks ourselves. We choose which networks to resell, and we are responsible for that choice. See [residential proxies](https://pontproxy.com/residential-proxies/) and [4G/5G mobile proxies](https://pontproxy.com/mobile-proxies/) for what each product does.

## Why does PontProxy not name its partner networks?

Our supplier agreements are commercially confidential, so we do not publish partner names. Instead, we publish the standard that every partner network must meet, and we apply it before we resell.

If a network stops meeting the standard, we stop reselling it. We make no claims about any other provider's sourcing beyond the public sources cited on this page.

## What must a partner network meet before PontProxy resells it?

A partner network must meet all five requirements below before PontProxy resells it.

| Requirement | What the partner must document | Why it matters |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1. End-user consent with opt-out | Each device owner sees a clear notice, agrees before the connection is shared, and can opt out at any time. | Without consent, a connection is used without its owner's knowledge. |
| 2. Permission to resell | A written agreement that allows PontProxy to resell access under its own brand. | Unauthorised resale can stop without notice and leave customers without service. |
| 3. GDPR and UK GDPR compliance | A lawful basis for processing, data minimisation, and a contact for data-protection requests. | A proxy network processes data about the people who share their connection. |
| 4. No hidden SDKs | No proxy code bundled in apps that do not disclose it. The proxy function must be disclosed in the app itself. | Google found that many malicious apps it analysed did not disclose that they enrolled devices into the IPIDEA network. |
| 5. No links to IPIDEA or NetNut | Written confirmation that the supply does not come from the IPIDEA network or from NetNut. | Both were the subject of enforcement action in 2026, described below. |

## Why does IP sourcing matter in 2026?

Sourcing matters because two large actions affected residential proxy supply in 2026.

- **IPIDEA, 28 January 2026.** Google announced actions to disrupt the IPIDEA residential proxy network. It listed 13 proxy and VPN brands that it said were controlled by the actors behind IPIDEA. It said SDKs embedded in apps turned devices into exit nodes, and many apps it analysed did not disclose this. Google said its actions reduced the available pool of devices by millions. Proxyway, citing The Wall Street Journal, reported an expected loss of more than nine million devices.
- **NetNut, 2 July 2026.** NetNut's domains were seized by the FBI on 2 July 2026 (Krebs on Security).

Google also wrote that providers' claims of ethical sourcing are "often incorrect or overstated". This is why we publish a checkable standard instead of a label.

## Which targets does PontProxy block?

PontProxy blocks online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587) on every plan. Abuse of these targets harms the people whose connections carry the traffic, so we block them for every customer.

Legitimate proxy work does not need them. Typical PontProxy uses are [price monitoring](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/price-monitoring/), [SERP tracking](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/serp-tracking/), [ad verification](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/ad-verification/), [social media management](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/social-media-management/) and [geo-testing](https://pontproxy.com/use-cases/geo-testing/). The full list of permitted and prohibited uses is in our [Acceptable Use Policy](https://pontproxy.com/acceptable-use/).

## How does PontProxy handle abuse reports?

Anyone can report abuse: a website owner, a network operator, or a person who shares a connection in a partner network. We review every report within 24 hours.

1. **Send the report** — Email abuse@pontproxy.com with the IP address, the date and time with time zone, the target domain and what happened.
2. **We match the traffic** — We use short-lived connection metadata to find the account that sent the traffic. See our privacy policy.
3. **We act** — Confirmed abuse leads to termination without refund, as set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. **We forward consent concerns** — If you think your device shares its connection without your consent, tell us. We forward the report to the partner network concerned.

## What does PontProxy not claim about sourcing?

We keep our sourcing claims to what we can stand behind:

- We do not claim any certification, audit or industry membership.
- We do not publish pool sizes or IP counts that we cannot prove.
- We do not name partner networks, and we make no claims about other providers' sourcing.
- We do not use "ethical" as a label. We publish the five requirements instead.

## Does no KYC conflict with responsible sourcing?

No. KYC checks the buyer, while sourcing checks the supply. PontProxy, a no-KYC UK & Europe residential and 4G/5G proxy provider, does not check your identity. No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents. Pay in crypto.

We apply a written sourcing standard to the networks we resell, we block high-risk targets and we run an abuse desk. Under GDPR Article 5(1)(c), personal data must be "adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary". We keep only the minimum data listed in our [privacy policy](https://pontproxy.com/privacy/), and never ID documents. ## Questions about IP sourcing

### Does PontProxy name its partner networks?

No. PontProxy does not name its partner networks, because supplier agreements are commercially confidential. Instead, we publish the standard each network must meet. It has five parts: consent with opt-out, permission to resell, GDPR compliance, no hidden SDKs and no links to IPIDEA or NetNut. If a network stops meeting it, we stop reselling it.

### Does PontProxy resell IPs from the IPIDEA network?

Our sourcing standard excludes it: a partner must confirm in writing that its supply is not linked to IPIDEA before we resell it. Google announced actions to disrupt the IPIDEA network on 28 January 2026. The same rule excludes NetNut, whose domains were seized by the FBI on 2 July 2026 (Krebs on Security). If a link appears later, we stop reselling that network.

### How do people in a residential proxy network give consent?

Our standard requires that each device owner sees a clear notice, agrees before the connection is shared, and can opt out at any time. The proxy function must be disclosed in the app or software itself, not hidden in an SDK. These rules answer the 2026 findings that some apps enrolled devices without clear disclosure.

### Which targets are blocked on PontProxy proxies?

PontProxy blocks online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587) on every plan. Legitimate uses such as price monitoring, SERP tracking and ad verification do not need these targets. The full rules are in our [Acceptable Use Policy](https://pontproxy.com/acceptable-use/).

### How fast does PontProxy respond to abuse reports?

We review every abuse report within 24 hours. Send it to abuse@pontproxy.com with the IP address, the date and time with time zone, and the target domain. We match it to an account using short-lived connection metadata. Confirmed abuse leads to termination without refund.

### Does PontProxy hold a proxy-industry certification?

No. PontProxy does not claim any certification, audit or industry membership. We prefer to publish a checkable standard and an abuse contact. If we join a recognised industry body in future, we will record it on our [changelog](https://pontproxy.com/changelog/) with the date.
