The UK now has three mobile operators but four network brands. Vodafone and Three merged into VodafoneThree on 31 May 2025. O2 belongs to Virgin Media O2, and EE belongs to BT Group. Each network still announces its own IP ranges, so an EE port and a Three port show different ASNs.
Subscriber figures below come from different quarters, so they show scale, not market share.
| Network | Owner | Subscribers (as listed) | Opensignal, January 2026 | Main ASN |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EE | BT Group | 21.2 million (Q3 2025) | 11 awards, incl. Reliability (915 points) and Consistent Quality (78.6%) | AS2856 |
| Vodafone | VodafoneThree | 27.9 million combined with Three (quarter to 30 June 2026) | — | AS25135 |
| O2 | Virgin Media O2 (Telefónica 50%, Liberty Global 50%) | 22.0 million incl. giffgaff (Q1 2026) | Best Coverage Experience | AS35228, AS29180 |
| Three | VodafoneThree | Included in the VodafoneThree figure | Fastest 5G download (187 Mbps) and upload (20.2 Mbps) | AS206067, AS60339 |

Network facts, ASNs, MVNOs and port pricing for each UK carrier.
Vodafone UK and Three UK merged on 31 May 2025 to form VodafoneThree. Which? described it as the biggest UK mobile network, with around 27 million customers and an £11bn investment pledge over 10 years.
In May 2026 Vodafone agreed to buy CK Hutchison's 49% stake for £4.3bn. Vodafone's newsroom reported full ownership on 30 July 2026.
For proxy buyers, the practical point is simple. Vodafone and Three still run separate ASNs: AS25135 for Vodafone, and AS206067 and AS60339 for Three. At PontProxy you still pick Vodafone or Three as separate networks.
EE and O2 are the other two UK network groups, and both are large. Recent operator figures:
Opensignal gave O2 the Coverage Experience award and Three the fastest 5G speeds. These are network results, not proxy speeds. A proxy port's throughput also depends on the modem's location and your own route.
UK mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) rent capacity on one of the four networks, so their customers use the host network's IP ranges. A giffgaff phone, for example, gets an O2 address.
| Host network | MVNOs on it |
|---|---|
| EE | BT Mobile, 1pMobile, Lyca Mobile, Utility Warehouse, Ecotalk, Your Co-op |
| Vodafone | VOXI, Lebara, Asda Mobile, Talkmobile |
| O2 | giffgaff, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile |
| Three | SMARTY, iD Mobile, Honest Mobile, Superdrug Mobile |

Each UK network announces its mobile IP ranges from one or two autonomous systems. Checking the ASN of your exit IP is the fastest way to confirm a genuine carrier address. Our ASN lookup guide shows how with RIPEstat or IPinfo.
One common error: EE's old AS12576 (EE Limited) is not announced. EE mobile ranges sit under BT's AS2856.
| Network | ASN | Example ranges |
|---|---|---|
| EE | AS2856 (BT-UK-AS) | 31.90.0.0/15, 31.94.0.0/16, 149.254.0.0/16 |
| Vodafone | AS25135 (vodafone_uk_asn) | 212.183.128.0/20, 148.252.128.0/19 |
| O2 | AS35228 (O2BROADBAND) and AS29180 (O2-ONLINE-AS) | 82.132.128.0/17; more-specific 82.132.128.0/22 |
| Three | AS206067 and AS60339 (H3GUK) | 92.40.0.0/15, 94.196.0.0/15, 188.28.0.0/15; 92.41.255.0/24 |
RIPE registers Vodafone's 212.183.128.0/20 as VODAFONE-CORE-NETWORK-DEVELOPMENT, not as mobile. AS5378 (Vodafone Limited) has an unverified role.
UK mobile networks share public IPv4 addresses between many subscribers through carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT). EE's and Three's community forums both describe CGNAT on their mobile networks. RFC 6598 reserves 100.64.0.0/10 as the shared address space inside carrier NAT.
Because one mobile IP can carry many real phones at once, websites rarely block it outright. This is a mechanism, not a guarantee. Behaviour that breaks a site's rules still gets flagged, whatever the IP.
At PontProxy, a dedicated UK port costs $4.50 for 1 day, $22 for 7 days or $72.75 for 30 days. The 30-day plan works out at $2.43/day, with unlimited traffic and carrier choice included.
That is 25% below Coronium's $97/month (UK), and the day plan is 25% below CyberYozh's $6/day (4G UK, unlimited), both checked 2026-10-05. Read the conditions too: a cheap day price can come with a traffic cap or a surcharge for picking the carrier.

Call your port's rotation link. The modem reconnects to EE, Vodafone, O2 or Three, and the network usually assigns a new IP within seconds. You can also set an automatic timer in the client area.
Replace {port} with your port number and API_KEY with the key from your client area. Connection examples are in the quickstart guide.

Mobile ports are not for SMS verification, account farming or ban evasion. PontProxy blocks online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587). Read our Acceptable Use Policy.

PontProxy lets you choose any of the four UK networks on every dedicated port, at no extra cost. As of October 2026, CyberYozh also offers carrier-pinned UK ports, at $11 a day with a 10 GB daily allowance. Simply Proxies offers carrier targeting on per-GB UK mobile traffic. Coronium does not list carriers per country on its UK page.

They belong to one company but still run separate networks and ASNs. Vodafone UK and Three UK merged on 31 May 2025 to form VodafoneThree. Vodafone ranges come from AS25135, and Three ranges from AS206067 and AS60339 (RIPEstat, October 2026). At PontProxy you can still pick Vodafone or Three separately for a dedicated port.
giffgaff runs on O2, as do Sky Mobile and Tesco Mobile. SMARTY and iD Mobile use Three, and VOXI, Lebara and Asda Mobile use Vodafone. BT Mobile and Lyca Mobile use EE. An MVNO customer gets an IP from the host network's ranges, so an O2 port covers the same address space as giffgaff.
No. A dedicated port is one modem and one SIM reserved for you for the whole rental period. Other phone users on the same network may share its public IP through carrier-grade NAT, which is normal on UK mobile networks. That sharing is part of why websites treat mobile IPs with care before blocking them.
Call your port's rotation link or the API endpoint, and the modem reconnects to its network. The carrier usually assigns a new IP within seconds. You can also set an automatic timer in the client area. Your username, password and port number stay the same, so your scripts keep working.
No. PontProxy asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. You sign in with an account number, and email is optional. You pay with Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). By contrast, IPRoyal runs KYC checks for all clients. Use of every PontProxy port is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.
