What is the difference between a dedicated port and rotating mobile IPs?

A dedicated port is one modem and one SIM card used only by you. Rotating mobile IPs come from a shared pool and are billed per GB.

| | Dedicated 4G/5G port | Rotating 4G/5G | |---|---|---| | Price | From $4.50/day | $1.50/GB | | Billing | Per day, 7 days or 30 days | Per GB, never expires | | Traffic | Unlimited, no daily cap | What you buy | | IP change | By link, API or timer | Country and carrier targeting | | Best for | Long sessions, app tests, account management | Short jobs, mobile SERP and ad checks |

PontProxy, a no-KYC UK & Europe residential and 4G/5G proxy provider, sells both in the same account.

Which UK mobile networks can I choose?

You can choose any of the four UK mobile networks: EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three, with carrier choice included at no surcharge.

| Network | Operator | Subscribers | Network ASN | MVNOs on it | |---|---|---|---|---| | EE | BT Group | 21.2 million (Q3 2025) | AS2856 | BT Mobile, 1pMobile, Lyca Mobile | | Vodafone | VodafoneThree | 27.9 million, Vodafone and Three combined | AS25135 | VOXI, Lebara, Asda Mobile, Talkmobile | | O2 | Virgin Media O2 | 22.0 million (Q1 2026) | AS35228, AS29180 | giffgaff, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile | | Three | VodafoneThree | see Vodafone | AS206067, AS60339 | SMARTY, iD Mobile |

Vodafone and Three merged on 31 May 2025 as VodafoneThree. Subscriber figures are from Wikipedia's list of European operators. ASNs are from RIPEstat, checked 5 October 2026.

In Opensignal's January 2026 UK report, EE won 11 awards, O2 won Coverage Experience, and Three had the fastest 5G download and upload speeds.

Which carriers have their own page?

Carrier pages cover the UK, Germany and France, with ASNs, MVNOs and network facts.

Why do websites trust mobile IPs?

Mobile networks share a small pool of public IPv4 addresses between many subscribers. This is called carrier-grade NAT, or CGNAT.

  • Inside the network, phones get addresses from 100.64.0.0/10, the shared space defined in RFC 6598.
  • The carrier's NAT then maps many phones to each public IP. RFC 6888 sets the requirements for these devices.
  • Posts on EE's community forum confirm that EE's mobile network uses CGNAT.

A website that blocks one mobile IP may block many real customers at once. So mobile IPs are rarely blocked outright. This is a mechanism, not a guarantee: abusive behaviour still gets flagged on any IP.

How do I change the IP on a dedicated port?

You change the IP by calling a rotation link, by API, or on a timer you set. The modem reconnects to the carrier and receives a new public IP from that network.

Rotation does not change the carrier or the country. Your EE port stays on EE. Code samples for every language are in the quickstart guide.

Rotate a dedicated port (replace {port} and API_KEY)
curl "https://pontproxy.com/api/v1/mobile/{port}/rotate?key=API_KEY"

How much does a 4G/5G mobile proxy cost in each zone?

Dedicated ports are priced by zone, because SIM and hosting costs differ by country.

| Zone | 1 day | 7 days | 30 days | Per day on 30 days | |---|---|---|---|---| | United Kingdom | $4.50 | $22 | $72.75 | $2.43/day | | Europe (Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and more) | $4.50 | $18 | $59.25 | $1.98/day | | Poland & Ireland | $4.50 | $14 | $44.25 | $1.48/day |

All zones have unlimited traffic with no daily cap. Every plan is on the pricing page.

Residential or mobile: which do I need?

Residential IPs suit most scraping, SERP and price work, and cost from $0.36/GB. Mobile IPs suit app testing, mobile ad verification and social media management for agencies.

Pick mobile when the target treats mobile users differently, or when you need one stable carrier IP for weeks. Pick residential when you need city targeting or high volume at a lower price per GB.

Mobile proxies: frequently asked questions

How much does a UK 4G proxy cost?

A dedicated UK 4G/5G port at PontProxy costs $4.50 for 1 day, $22 for 7 days or $72.75 for 30 days. That is $2.43/day on the monthly plan. As of October 2026, Coronium lists $97 a month for the UK, per its pricing page. No KYC is required, and you pay in crypto.

How do I pay — do I top up a balance?

Yes. You top up your PontProxy balance in crypto (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC), then buy any plan from it. The minimum top-up is $25. Unused balance stays on your account, so a small plan such as 1 GB for $0.95 leaves the rest available for later plans. No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents.

Can I choose EE, Vodafone, O2 or Three?

Yes, with carrier choice included at no surcharge. You pick the network when you order a UK port, and the port stays on that network when you rotate the IP. For comparison, CyberYozh charges $11 a day for a carrier-pinned UK port with 10 GB per day, as of October 2026.

Is traffic really unlimited on a dedicated port?

Yes. Every dedicated PontProxy port has unlimited traffic with no daily cap. You pay for time, not data. IPRoyal, by contrast, caps its dedicated mobile proxies at 30 GB per day per proxy, as of October 2026, per its product page. Our Acceptable Use Policy still applies to all traffic.

How often can I change the mobile IP?

You decide. You get a new IP on demand by link or API, or automatically on a timer. Each change makes the modem reconnect to the carrier. The new IP comes from the same carrier's public range. The rotation link format is in the quickstart guide.

What is CGNAT and why does it matter?

CGNAT, or carrier-grade NAT, lets a mobile network share each public IPv4 address between many phones. RFC 6598 reserves 100.64.0.0/10 for the internal side. Because one mobile IP can carry many real users, websites rarely block it outright. It is a mechanism, not a guarantee against blocks.

Should I buy a dedicated port or rotating mobile GB?

Buy a dedicated port for long sessions or heavy use, because traffic is unlimited. Buy rotating mobile GB for short or occasional jobs, at $1.50/GB with traffic that never expires. You can start with 1 GB for $1.50 (paid from a $25 minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance — never expires, non-refundable) to test their targets.

Which countries have dedicated mobile ports?

Dedicated ports are sold in three zones: the UK, most of Europe, and Poland and Ireland. The Europe zone includes Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Turkey. The pricing page lists every zone and duration.

Can I use mobile proxies for social media accounts?

Yes, for legitimate management of accounts you or your clients own. Agencies use a stable UK or EU carrier IP per client. Multi-accounting to evade bans, spam and fake engagement are prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy. See social media management.
