Which Italian ISPs do the residential IPs come from?

Italian residential IPs come mainly from three groups. AGCOM counted about 19.4 million broadband lines in March 2026, including 7.39 million FTTH lines. TIM led with 32.6%, ahead of Fastweb + Vodafone at 28.7% and WindTre at 14.7%.

Together those three serve about three in four Italian lines. Sky Wifi, Eolo and Iliad also sell home broadband. PontProxy, a no-KYC UK & Europe residential and 4G/5G proxy provider, lets you pin a network by ASN.

Why are Fastweb and Vodafone listed together?

Swisscom bought Vodafone Italia in 2024 and merged it with its subsidiary Fastweb. AGCOM now reports the two as one operator, Fastweb + Vodafone.

The network registrations show the merger. AS30722, the former Vodafone Italia network, is now registered to Fastweb SpA, and ipinfo still shows prefixes named for Vodafone Italia mobile customers. AS12874 remains the Fastweb fixed network. To target this group fully, include both ASNs.

How much does a 1 GB Italian test cost?

Which Italian websites do teams check with an Italian IP?

An Italian IP shows the prices, rankings and ads that a visitor in Italy sees. Typical legitimate jobs:

  • Price monitoring on Amazon.it, eBay.it and Unieuro;
  • Price-comparison research on Trovaprezzi.it and Idealo.it;
  • Classifieds research on public Subito.it listings;
  • SERP tracking on google.it, where Rome and Milan results can differ — see SERP tracking;
  • App and site testing from Rome or Milan — see geo-testing.

How do I connect to an Italian residential IP?

Set your proxy to gw.pontproxy.com, port 7777 for HTTP/HTTPS or 7778 for SOCKS5. A Milan IP held for 30 minutes uses USERNAME-country-it-city-milan-session-m1l2n3-ttl-30 as the username.

Leave out city for any Italian IP, and leave out session to rotate on every request. The quickstart guide shows how to check the exit IP's city and ASN.

Yes. City targeting covers Rome, Milan, Naples, Turin, Palermo, Genoa, Bologna, Florence, Bari and Catania. Add the city to your username after the country code. Cities come from IP geolocation databases, which can differ near borders. Check a sample IP before a large run.

Do I need ID to buy Italian proxies?
