Which mobile networks can I use in Italy?

Mobile IPs in Italy come from SIM cards on Fastweb + Vodafone, WindTre, TIM, Iliad. Italy had 78.9 million human SIMs in March 2026. Fastweb + Vodafone held 25.2%, WindTre 23.6%, TIM 22.3% and Iliad 16.1% (AGCOM).

Well-known brands and MVNOs that run on these networks include ho. Mobile (Fastweb + Vodafone), Kena Mobile (TIM), Very Mobile (WindTre), PosteMobile, CoopVoce, Lycamobile. A mobile IP from any of them belongs to the address ranges of its host network.

Why do websites trust mobile IPs?

Mobile networks share a small pool of public IPv4 addresses between many subscribers through carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT, RFC 6598). One mobile IP can therefore carry traffic from many real phones at once.

Websites know this, so they rarely block a mobile IP outright. This is a mechanism, not a guarantee: behaviour that breaks a site's rules still gets flagged. Learn how to check an exit IP in our ASN lookup guide.

What are Italy mobile proxies used for?

Italian IPs show local google.it rankings and prices on Amazon.it, Trovaprezzi.it and Unieuro. Teams also use them to verify ads on Italian publishers and to test apps in Rome or Milan.

With a mobile IP in Italy, teams typically:

  • test apps and mobile checkouts as customers on Fastweb + Vodafone, WindTre see them;
  • verify mobile ads and app-install campaigns shown in Italy;
  • track mobile search results on google.it;
  • manage brand and client social media accounts from a stable local IP.

See social media management and ad verification.

How do I change the IP of a Italy mobile port?

Each dedicated port has its own rotation link. Call it and the modem reconnects to the carrier, which usually assigns a new IP within seconds:

https://pontproxy.com/api/v1/mobile/{port}/rotate?key=API_KEY

Replace {port} with your port number and API_KEY with your key from the client area. You can also set an automatic rotation timer. Connection details for HTTP and SOCKS5 are in the quickstart guide.

Using a proxy is legal in Italy; what matters is what you do through it. Personal data falls under the GDPR and the Privacy Code (Garante), and Criminal Code Article 615-ter covers unauthorised computer access.

PontProxy blocks online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587), and every account follows our Acceptable Use Policy. Mobile ports are not for SMS verification, account farming or ban evasion.

Italy mobile proxies: FAQ

Which carriers do Italian mobile proxies use?

Italy has four mobile network operators. In March 2026 AGCOM counted Fastweb + Vodafone at 25.2% of human SIMs, WindTre at 23.6%, TIM at 22.3% and Iliad at 16.1%. Sub-brands sit inside these figures: ho. Mobile with Fastweb + Vodafone, Kena Mobile with TIM and Very Mobile with WindTre. PosteMobile (5.6%) and CoopVoce (3.0%) are the largest virtual operators.

Why does AGCOM list Fastweb and Vodafone together?

Swisscom bought Vodafone Italia in 2024 to merge it with its subsidiary Fastweb. AGCOM now reports the two as one operator, Fastweb + Vodafone. The group was the largest by human SIMs in March 2026, with 25.2%. Its ASNs include AS30722, the former Vodafone Italia network now registered to Fastweb SpA, and AS12874 for the Fastweb fixed network.

How much does a Italy 4G mobile proxy cost?

A dedicated Italy 4G/5G port costs $4.50 for one day, $18 for seven days or $59.25 for 30 days at PontProxy, with unlimited traffic. Rotating mobile IPs cost from $1.50/GB and the traffic never expires. All prices are paid in crypto.

Can I choose the carrier for my Italy mobile proxy?

Yes, carrier choice is included at no surcharge when the network is in stock. In Italy the networks are Fastweb + Vodafone, WindTre, TIM, Iliad. Pick the carrier at checkout or in the client area. If a carrier is out of stock, we tell you before you pay.

Do I need ID to rent a Italy mobile proxy?

No. PontProxy asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. You sign in with an account number and an email is optional. You pay in Bitcoin, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL or LTC. Use is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Dedicated port or rotating mobile: which should I pick?

Pick a dedicated port when you need unlimited traffic, a stable modem and control over when the IP changes. Pick rotating mobile per GB for light or bursty jobs, because you only pay for traffic and it never expires. Both use real Italy carrier IPs.
