Which cities can I target in Belgium?

You can target Belgium as a whole or one city at a time. The main locations are Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Charleroi, Liège, Bruges, Namur, Leuven, Mons, Mechelen. Country and city targeting are included in every plan at no extra cost.

To pick a city, add it to your proxy username in lower case, without spaces: country-be selects Belgium, then -city- plus the city name narrows the exit IP to that city.

Which ISPs do Belgium residential IPs come from?

Residential IPs are addresses that home broadband providers assign to their subscribers. In Belgium the main fixed-line ISPs are Proximus, Telenet, VOO, Orange, Scarlet.

Proximus, Telenet and Orange/VOO lead fixed broadband, and cable is the largest technology. BIPT counted 5.25 million fixed broadband lines at the end of 2025, about 14% on fibre.

You can pin an ISP or ASN with ISP targeting, included in every PontProxy plan.

What are Belgium residential proxies used for?

Teams use Belgian IPs to check google.be in Dutch and French, prices on Bol, Coolblue and Amazon.com.be, and ads on regional publishers. Brussels, Antwerp and Liège cover both language areas.

Typical legitimate jobs with a Belgium IP:

  • checking local search results on google.be;
  • monitoring prices and stock on Bol, Coolblue, Amazon.com.be, 2dehands / 2ememain;
  • verifying that ads and affiliate links display correctly to visitors in Belgium;
  • testing websites and apps from a real Belgium connection.

Residential or mobile proxies in Belgium?

Residential IPs suit most scraping, SERP and price work and are billed per GB. Mobile IPs come from SIM cards on Proximus, Orange, Telenet / BASE, Digi and suit app testing and mobile ad checks.

Belgium has four mobile network operators: Proximus, Orange, Telenet/BASE and Digi, which became commercially active in December 2024. BIPT counted 12.7 million active SIM cards, excluding M2M, at the end of 2025.

Using a proxy is legal in Belgium; what matters is what you do through it. Scraping that touches personal data falls under the GDPR and the Law of 30 July 2018, supervised by the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA).

PontProxy blocks online banking, government portals, payment processors and outgoing email (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587). Every account is bound by our Acceptable Use Policy. Read more in are proxies legal in the UK and EU?.

How do I connect to a Belgium residential IP?

Use host gw.pontproxy.com on port 7777 for HTTP/HTTPS or 7778 for SOCKS5. Build the username like this: USERNAME-country-be-session-a1b2c3-ttl-30.

  • Drop the session part to get a new IP on every request.
  • Keep the same session value to hold one IP for up to the ttl in minutes.

Belgium residential proxies: FAQ

Who is Belgium's fourth mobile operator?

Digi, a joint venture of Citymesh and Digi Communications, became commercially active in Belgium in December 2024. It joined Proximus, Orange and Telenet/BASE. BIPT reported that Digi's effect on market shares was still limited in 2025. Proximus remained the mobile leader, with 40 to 50% of mobile turnover, ahead of Orange/VOO and Telenet.

Which languages should I test with a Belgian IP?

Belgium has three official languages: Dutch, French and German. Sites such as google.be, Bol and Coolblue offer Dutch and French versions, and ads often differ by language area. Testing from Antwerp or Ghent (Dutch-speaking) and Liège or Charleroi (French-speaking) shows what local users see. Brussels is officially bilingual.

How much do Belgium residential proxies cost?

Belgium residential proxies cost from $0.36/GB at PontProxy. The 1 GB plan costs $0.95 (paid from a $25 minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance — never expires, non-refundable) and 10 GB costs $5.90. The price is the same in every European country and includes city and ISP targeting. Unused traffic never expires, so you only pay for what you use.

Do I need to verify my identity to buy Belgium proxies?

No. PontProxy asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. You sign in with an account number and an email is optional. This follows the GDPR principle of data minimisation: we only keep what we need to run the service. Use is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Which cryptocurrencies can I use to pay?

You can pay in Bitcoin, USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20), USDC, Ethereum, Litecoin or Solana. USDT on TRC-20, Solana and Litecoin keep network fees low for small plans. Credentials appear in your client area as soon as the payment confirms.

Can I keep the same Belgium IP for a whole session?

Yes. Add a session ID to your username and the gateway keeps the same Belgium exit IP up to 60 minutes. Without a session ID you get a new IP on every request, which suits large crawls. Both modes work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5.
