Which cities can I target in Hungary?

You can target Hungary as a whole or one city at a time. The main locations are Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, Miskolc, Pécs, Győr, Nyíregyháza, Kecskemét, Székesfehérvár, Szombathely. Country and city targeting are included in every plan at no extra cost.

To pick a city, add it to your proxy username in lower case, without spaces: country-hu selects Hungary, then -city- plus the city name narrows the exit IP to that city.

Which ISPs do Hungary residential IPs come from?

Residential IPs are addresses that home broadband providers assign to their subscribers. In Hungary the main fixed-line ISPs are Magyar Telekom, One, PR-Telecom, Tarr.

Magyar Telekom and One lead fixed broadband; One's network is now run by 4iG's infrastructure company 2Connect. Median fixed download was 271 Mbps in August 2026, 16th worldwide.

You can pin an ISP or ASN with ISP targeting, included in every PontProxy plan.

What are Hungary residential proxies used for?

Hungarian IPs show local Google results and prices on eMAG.hu and Árukereső.hu. They also help test Hungarian-language apps, ads and checkout flows.

Typical legitimate jobs with a Hungary IP:

  • checking local search results on google.hu;
  • monitoring prices and stock on eMAG.hu, Árukereső.hu, Jófogás, MediaMarkt.hu;
  • verifying that ads and affiliate links display correctly to visitors in Hungary;
  • testing websites and apps from a real Hungary connection.

See our guides to price monitoring, SERP tracking and geo-testing.

Residential or mobile proxies in Hungary?

Residential IPs suit most scraping, SERP and price work and are billed per GB. Mobile IPs come from SIM cards on Telekom, Yettel, One and suit app testing and mobile ad checks.

Hungary has three MNOs, led by Magyar Telekom with 6.58 million mobile customers in Q1 2026. One (formerly Vodafone) merged with DIGI into one operating company in January 2025.

Hungary residential proxies: FAQ

What happened to Vodafone and DIGI in Hungary?

Vodafone Hungary now trades as One under its owner 4iG. DIGI Hungary was merged with One into a single operating company from January 2025. The network infrastructure moved to 2Connect, a 4iG company. As a result, former Vodafone and DIGI IP ranges appear under 2Connect ASNs such as AS21334 and AS20845. The consumer brand is One.

Will Yettel offer fixed internet in Hungary?

A preliminary agreement from February 2026 foresees Yettel Hungary entering wired broadband from the second half of 2026, using 2Connect's national network. In return, One is expected to use CETIN Hungary's mobile radio network from 2028. For now, Magyar Telekom and One remain the main fixed providers, and Yettel IPs are mostly mobile.

How much do Hungary residential proxies cost?

Hungary residential proxies cost from $0.36/GB at PontProxy. The 1 GB plan costs $0.95 (paid from a $25 minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance — never expires, non-refundable) and 10 GB costs $5.90. The price is the same in every European country and includes city and ISP targeting. Unused traffic never expires, so you only pay for what you use.

Do I need to verify my identity to buy Hungary proxies?

No. PontProxy asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. You sign in with an account number and an email is optional. This follows the GDPR principle of data minimisation: we only keep what we need to run the service. Use is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Which cryptocurrencies can I use to pay?

You can pay in Bitcoin, USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20), USDC, Ethereum, Litecoin or Solana. USDT on TRC-20, Solana and Litecoin keep network fees low for small plans. Credentials appear in your client area as soon as the payment confirms.

Can I keep the same Hungary IP for a whole session?

Yes. Add a session ID to your username and the gateway keeps the same Hungary exit IP up to 60 minutes. Without a session ID you get a new IP on every request, which suits large crawls. Both modes work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5.
