Which cities can I target in Jersey?

You can target Jersey as a whole or one city at a time. The main locations are St Helier, St Saviour, St Brelade, St Clement, Grouville, St Lawrence, St Peter, St Ouen. Country and city targeting are included in every plan at no extra cost.

To pick a city, add it to your proxy username in lower case, without spaces: country-je selects Jersey, then -city- plus the city name narrows the exit IP to that city.

Which ISPs do Jersey residential IPs come from?

Residential IPs are addresses that home broadband providers assign to their subscribers. In Jersey the main fixed-line ISPs are JT, Sure, Newtel, Foreshore.

JT, the former monopoly operator, runs the island's main fixed network. Sure, Newtel and Foreshore also sell broadband in Jersey.

You can pin an ISP or ASN with ISP targeting, included in every PontProxy plan.

What are Jersey residential proxies used for?

Jersey is outside the UK VAT area, so UK retailers may show different prices, delivery charges or checkout rules for JE postcodes. Jersey IPs help verify these local views and ads on publishers such as the Jersey Evening Post.

Typical legitimate jobs with a Jersey IP:

  • checking local search results on google.je;
  • monitoring prices and stock on Amazon.co.uk, eBay.co.uk;
  • verifying that ads and affiliate links display correctly to visitors in Jersey;
  • testing websites and apps from a real Jersey connection.

See our guides to price monitoring, SERP tracking and geo-testing.

Residential or mobile proxies in Jersey?

Residential IPs suit most scraping, SERP and price work and are billed per GB. Mobile IPs come from SIM cards on JT, Sure and suit app testing and mobile ad checks.

Jersey has two mobile network operators: JT and Sure. Sure bought Airtel-Vodafone in November 2024 and moved Airtel accounts to its own systems in September 2025.

Compare both on our Jersey 4G/5G mobile proxies page.

Jersey residential proxies: FAQ

What happened to Airtel-Vodafone in Jersey?

Sure, part of Bahrain's Beyon group, completed its purchase of Airtel-Vodafone in November 2024. Sure agreed to keep existing Sure and Airtel tariffs for 36 months. Airtel accounts moved to Sure's systems on 21-24 September 2025. On 5 October 2026, RIPEstat still showed Airtel's AS61143 as announced.

Is Jersey covered by UK GDPR or EU GDPR?

Jersey is a Crown Dependency outside both the UK and the EU, so it has its own law: the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018. The Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner supervises it. Telecoms are licensed and regulated separately by the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority (JCRA).

How much do Jersey residential proxies cost?

Jersey residential proxies cost from $0.36/GB at PontProxy. The 1 GB plan costs $0.95 (paid from a $25 minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance — never expires, non-refundable) and 10 GB costs $5.90. The price is the same in every European country and includes city and ISP targeting. Unused traffic never expires, so you only pay for what you use.

Do I need to verify my identity to buy Jersey proxies?

No. PontProxy asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. You sign in with an account number and an email is optional. This follows the GDPR principle of data minimisation: we only keep what we need to run the service. Use is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Which cryptocurrencies can I use to pay?

You can pay in Bitcoin, USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20), USDC, Ethereum, Litecoin or Solana. USDT on TRC-20, Solana and Litecoin keep network fees low for small plans. Credentials appear in your client area as soon as the payment confirms.

Can I keep the same Jersey IP for a whole session?

Yes. Add a session ID to your username and the gateway keeps the same Jersey exit IP up to 60 minutes. Without a session ID you get a new IP on every request, which suits large crawls. Both modes work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5.
