LMT has been co-owned by Telia, Tet, the state radio and TV centre LVRTC and the Latvian state. In July 2025, Telia signed a memorandum of understanding to sell its stakes. These equal 60.3% of LMT and 49% of Tet. The buyers are the Latvian state, Latvenergo and LVRTC. In July 2026, Latvia reported talks with 23 potential investors.
