Which cities can I target in Greece?

You can target Greece as a whole or one city at a time. The main locations are Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, Piraeus, Larissa, Volos, Ioannina, Chania, Rhodes. Country and city targeting are included in every plan at no extra cost.

To pick a city, add it to your proxy username in lower case, without spaces: country-gr selects Greece, then -city- plus the city name narrows the exit IP to that city.

Which ISPs do Greece residential IPs come from?

Residential IPs are addresses that home broadband providers assign to their subscribers. In Greece the main fixed-line ISPs are Telekom (OTE), Vodafone, Nova, Inalan.

OTE had 2.39 million fixed broadband subscribers on 30 June 2026, including 687,000 on FTTH. Its fibre network passed 2.2 million homes.

You can pin an ISP or ASN with ISP targeting, included in every PontProxy plan.

What are Greece residential proxies used for?

Greek IPs show local google.gr results and prices on Skroutz, Public and Kotsovolos. They help verify Greek-language ads and test apps on local mobile networks.

Typical legitimate jobs with a Greece IP:

  • checking local search results on google.gr;
  • monitoring prices and stock on Skroutz, Public, Kotsovolos, Plaisio;
  • verifying that ads and affiliate links display correctly to visitors in Greece;
  • testing websites and apps from a real Greece connection.

Residential or mobile proxies in Greece?

Residential IPs suit most scraping, SERP and price work and are billed per GB. Mobile IPs come from SIM cards on Telekom, Vodafone, Nova and suit app testing and mobile ad checks.

Greece has three mobile networks: Telekom (OTE group, formerly Cosmote), Vodafone and Nova. OTE reported 7.1 million mobile subscribers in Greece on 30 June 2026.

Greece residential proxies: FAQ

Why do Greek phones now show Telekom instead of Cosmote?

OTE group replaced the Cosmote Telekom brand with Telekom in September 2026, and the switch culminated on 8 September. Phones now show TELEKOM.GR as the network name, and Cosmote 5G became Telekom 5G. The network itself did not change. In RIPE data the mobile ASN AS29247 is still named COSMOTE-GR and is registered to OTE.

How good is 5G coverage in Greece?

OTE reported 5G population coverage above 99% on 30 June 2026, with 5G standalone coverage of about 84%. Vodafone and Nova also run 5G NR networks, according to the operator list on Wikipedia. OTE counted 7.1 million mobile subscribers in Greece at that date, 3.15 million of them postpaid.

How much do Greece residential proxies cost?

Greece residential proxies cost from $0.36/GB at PontProxy. The 1 GB plan costs $0.95 (paid from a $25 minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance — never expires, non-refundable) and 10 GB costs $5.90. The price is the same in every European country and includes city and ISP targeting. Unused traffic never expires, so you only pay for what you use.

Do I need to verify my identity to buy Greece proxies?

No. PontProxy asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. You sign in with an account number and an email is optional. This follows the GDPR principle of data minimisation: we only keep what we need to run the service. Use is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Which cryptocurrencies can I use to pay?

You can pay in Bitcoin, USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20), USDC, Ethereum, Litecoin or Solana. USDT on TRC-20, Solana and Litecoin keep network fees low for small plans. Credentials appear in your client area as soon as the payment confirms.

Can I keep the same Greece IP for a whole session?

Yes. Add a session ID to your username and the gateway keeps the same Greece exit IP up to 60 minutes. Without a session ID you get a new IP on every request, which suits large crawls. Both modes work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5.
